About Us

Mission Statement

Our mission is to enable users to acquire, store, and display electronic medical images in an efficient and cost-effective manner. By using our products, our users will get their work done faster and with fewer problems.

Our goal is to develop an array of modules and utilities for PACS. From these, clients can assemble a PACS that will meet their present usage and budget, yet allow for growth.

Who we are: The Connect Team

We’re people who talk tech so you don’t have to. Our varied backgrounds comprise a broad base of expertise.

Philip J. Manly, M.S., CHP, DABR, is one of fewer than 70 medical physicists in the United States who hold certification from both the American Board of Health Physics and the American Board of Radiology. He has maintained an active consulting practice in Hawaii and the Western Pacific since 1978. In 1999, a consulting client asked him to find an easy to use, low cost DICOM image viewing program for a teleradiology project in the Western Pacific. He found none. Connect Imaging Inc. was founded to fill this niche.

Charlotte Manly, Ph.D., is Director of Development at Connect Imaging, Inc. With degrees in both computer science and cognitive science, she understands the perspective of software users as well as of programmers. Her focus is on maintaining software ease of use and reducing the impact of human error in real-world software use.

Michael S. Thomas is Vice President of Operations and oversees all assembly and test operations, plus all technical support at our Pittsburgh office. With over ten years experience in computer hardware assembly, test and repair, networking operations, and advanced level data storage configuration, he provides the necessary hardware expertise to the Connect team.

The Company

Connect Imaging maintains its corporate headquarters and software development in Hawaii. Assembly, testing, installation, and technical support are handled from Western Pennsylvania. Once installation is complete, Connect’s service engineers can remotely troubleshoot and fix most problems through high speed internet connection to the client’s facility.
