SureScan

Description
Connect Imaging SureScan is software that controls the Vidar line of digitizers for digitizing hard copy films to produce DICOM files. SureScan can be used to digitize films for teleradiology applications, or to produce digital images for softcopy presentation along with current digital studies on a PACS.
Connect Imaging SureScan also meets a necessary function in the Full Field Digital Mammography facility. According to the Mammography Quality Standards Act, prior studies must be available for comparison. Digitizing prior studies allows the radiologist to easily compare current and prior studies, even when the prior study was originally acquired with an analog mammography system.
Connect Imaging SureScan makes digitizing prior mammography films simple. It automatically applies standard mammography DICOM header labels for laterality and view to digitized images when films are placed in standard order. White areas of each film also can be blackened for easier reading
